30 Years' War
The Thirty Years' War was fought between the Catholics and Protestants in the Holy Roman Empire. The war was caused by growing tension between the Catholics and the reformers of the Church.Because new denominations in Christianity were growing many people did not want to be led by the Catholic church. Many leaders also started to break away from the church in order to rule their country by themselves. Some of the results of the war are famine and the spread of disease throughout Europe. Many citizens were displaced from the battles that were fought throughout Europe.New techniques of fighting were invented too.Rapid firing were two parallel lines of soldiers where one line would fire while the other reloaded.

These new innovations in warfare were particularly important; not just in victory of battles, the importance of military development improved the overall defensive and offensive arsenals of the newly autonomous countries established by the Thirty Years War.
New techniques that were invented did contribute a lot to the warfare. Some in particular was the firepower that was applied to the warfare which increased the size of the army and thier deadly force in battle.
The new techniques that you mentioned were very important to the war. The tensions with in religions took away from the new techniques that were important and needed during this time of war.
These new techniques significantly contributed to the war. It brought a lot of tension in the battles, but these techniques also effected the economy and other aspects of culture during the this time of controversy.
